What we collect

• First name (required) and last name (optional)
• Email address (required)
• Phone number — only if you provide it
• SMS consent — only if you opt in and provided a phone number
• City in BC (optional), status, in-BC, language preference
• School / program (optional), planned start, study load, prior StudentAid BC application status
• Areas you'd like help with, and a free-text note about what would make the consultation useful
• Marketing email opt-in (default off)

What we never collect at intake

• Social Insurance Number (SIN)
• Full annual income figures
• Government login credentials (StudentAid BC, CRA, IRCC, etc.)
• Full date of birth

How we use it

To determine whether your situation fits the free 30-minute consultation scope, to contact you about your request, and (only if you opt in) to send occasional updates about BC student funding. We do not sell, rent, or share your information for advertising.

How we store it

Submissions may be stored in our internal systems and routed to consultation specialists. We retain only what's needed to respond and follow up on your request, and we delete data when it's no longer needed for that purpose.

Cookies and analytics

The website may use minimal first-party analytics to understand traffic and improve the experience. We do not run cross-site tracking pixels for advertising.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. Email info@skillucate.ca and we'll respond as quickly as we reasonably can.

Independence reminder

Skillucate is not StudentAid BC, the Government of British Columbia, the Government of Canada, or a school. Government student aid applications and information are free from official sources, and final decisions on grants, loans, and bursaries always rest with the issuing program.
